Capturing the Magic of a Pony Adventure with Ellie & Thunder – A Golden Hour Session
As the fall golden hour set the perfect scene, I photographed Ellie and Thunder for a session that brought back waves of childhood memories. There's something truly special about capturing a child with their beloved pony; it's a bond that goes beyond words, filled with trust, love, and unforgettable moments.
This shoot was an instant throwback to my days as a little girl, completely in love with my pony and practically living at the barn. Ponies have unique personalities, often big and sassy for their small size! But when you're young, their quirks only make you love them more. You don't see their imperfections; you only see your friend, partner in crime, and confidant.
That connection – one between a child and their first pony – is something I'll forever cherish from my own life. Even now, when I get the rare chance to visit my special pony, Sebastian, I'm transported back to that little girl I once was, looking at her pony through a lens of pure joy.
I'm so grateful to Ellie and Thunder for letting me relive those treasured memories and for allowing me to capture theirs. These moments remind me of the magic between a child and their pony, a bond as golden as the light we were blessed with that day.
