I am always looking for unique and picturesque venues to shoot in, and I recently had the pleasure of attending a content day at the stunning new wedding venue, Grayson Mills, in Perth County. The venue is full of charm and uniqueness, making it the perfect backdrop for any wedding.
A Venue Exploding With Charm & Endless Opportunities
Let's talk about the interior. The wood ceilings, exposed brick, and black accents give the space a timeless and classic feel. It's the place that looks good in photos no matter what time of year it is. The venue has an upstairs indoor ceremony spot that can be used in two different ways. With a fireplace on one end and a stunning window view on the other, it's hard to choose which way to face the ceremony. Either way, the space provides a beautiful and intimate setting for couples to exchange their vows. I also loved this spot for a first look and some bridal portraits. The exposed bricks create a very elevated look, especially for photos.
Picture Perfect Portrait Opportunities
One of my favourite features of Grayson Mills is the rooftop patio. It's an incredible spot for portraits, with sweeping views of the surrounding area that provide a stunning backdrop for photos. Plus, it's also a great option for an outdoor ceremony, with plenty of space for guests to gather and take in the venue's beauty. If you need more than that, just a short walk down the street, you can access the Avon River. This stunning little park is perfect for portraits, with its picturesque scenery and tranquil atmosphere.
What Reception Dreams Are Made Of
The reception spot downstairs is also beautiful. With unlimited ways to decorate, it is a unique and timeless spot to dine and dance the night away. The high ceilings and open layout make it feel spacious and grand, while still maintaining a warm and intimate atmosphere. Whether you're going for a rustic, or modern look, the space can be transformed to suit any style. I love the versatility of the space and the endless opportunities.

Overall, I can't say enough good things about Grayson Mills. I can't believe I was lucky enough to be one of the first to photograph here! It's a venue that truly stands out in the best possible way.
